MDF

Due to their ease of processing and versatile uses, MDF panels (medium-density fibreboard) are an extremely popular material. They are very often used by carpenters and joiners, especially in interior design. Nowadays, bendable plates also be used to cover oriels or stairwells without any problems. In addition, MDF panels can be covered with wallpaper and, thanks to their extremely smooth surface, can be painted wonderfully clean.

Characteristics

MDF boards from Broszeit are available as a standard version as well as in flame-retardant, moisture-resistant and low-formaldehyde or formaldehyde-free variants. They are also heat-insulating and vibration-free.

Areas of application

Interior fittings, in the sanitary area as support elements for tiles, furniture production, thermal insulation, loudspeaker construction, architectural model construction

  • Moisture-resistant MDF board for use in a damp environment, also suitable for construction purposes. With high humidity there is minimal stretching and swelling of the panel. The Air Resource Board (ARB) has confirmed (n ° N ‑ 18‑177) that Fibralux MR NAF is an MDF board without added formaldehyde resin (Section 93120.3 of the ATCM „Airborne Toxic Control Measure“). This means that the formaldehyde emission is below 0.04 ppm (90% of the tested material) with a maximum of 0.06 ppm for each individual measurement. It is also exempt from testing and certification for compliance with the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).

  • High-quality, fire-retardant and moisture-resistant MDF board for use in damp conditions. The MDF board is produced without added formaldehyde resin

Highly compressed MDF board with a hard, finely sanded surface, which is characterized by particularly low formaldehyde emissions. The Air Resource Board (ARB) has confirmed (n ° N‑18–177) that Fibralux MR FR NAF is an MDF board without added formaldehyde resin (Section 93120.3 of the ATCM „Airborne Toxic Control Measure“). This means that the formaldehyde emission is below 0.04 ppm (90% of the tested material) with a maximum of 0.06 ppm for each individual measurement. It is also exempt from testing and certification for compliance with the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). Fibralux MR FR NAF is flame retardant (ASTM E84 Class A / Class 1 rating for thicknesses of 9 – 30 mm and European fire protection classification B), has a significantly delayed combustion and does not contribute to the spread of fire. Fibralux MR FR NAF B‑s1-d0 certified (EN 13501–1) for all available thicknesses (6 to 30 mm).

  • High-quality MDF board for industrial processing under dry conditions

Fibromax Pro FI (Fiber Improved) LF + is a highly compressed MDF board with an increased proportion of softwood compared to Fibromax Pro, which results in a lighter board color . Fibromax Pro FI LF + has an excellent stock removal rate and a well-sealed surface. Fibromax Pro FI LF + meets the requirements of the ChemVerbotsV for Germany. These panels can be used in service class 1 (restrictions on temperature and humidity) and in biological hazard class 1 of EN 335–3. Fibromax Pro LF erfüllt die Anforderungen des California Air Resource Board (Emissionsschutzbehörde Kaliforniens) (für Dicken im Bereich > 8 und = 28 mm). According to ASTM E 1333–96, the formaldehyde emission is less than 0.11 ppm, which corresponds to CARB, phase 2, according to ACTM. This MDF board also meets the requirements of the US EPA (for thicknesses in the range> 8 and = 28 mm) according to TSCA Title VI.

New look for Levi’s store

Exclusive outfit, perfectly combined with durability and optimized hygiene: Broszeit produces individual “furniture collections” for the new Stuttgart sales rooms of the cult jeans brand.

Agency partner UNilin

Circular economy pioneer

UNILIN has been a pioneer in the circular economy since the 160s. The then Union des Lins used shives – a leftover product from the flax industry – as the basic raw material for plates. In order to keep up with the growth over the years, UNILIN kept looking for new, sustainable raw materials. Residual material from the wood industry soon became the new basic raw material.

INTELLIGENT COOPERATIONS

We only process wood from locations within 400 km of the production facilities. This local logging is possible thanks to intelligent cooperation with suppliers, including container parks, demolition companies, the packaging industry and even our own customers. What they consider waste, we use as raw materials. You can get rid of their residues that we use in our production process.

SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORT

Most of the recycled wood comes from Flanders. Thanks to this local access, we not only limit our transport, but also the environmental impact that is associated with it. In order to limit the traffic chaos on the Flemish roads, we import wood from abroad via inland waterways whenever possible. Our factory in Oostrozebeke has its own loading quay for this. Did you know that a cargo ship can take up to 60 trucks off the road?
