MDF

Due to their ease of processing and versatile uses, MDF panels (medium-density fibreboard) are an extremely popular material. They are very often used by carpenters and joiners, especially in interior design. Nowadays, bendable plates also be used to cover oriels or stairwells without any problems. In addition, MDF panels can be covered with wallpaper and, thanks to their extremely smooth surface, can be painted wonderfully clean.

Characteristics

MDF boards from Broszeit are available as a standard version as well as in flame-retardant, moisture-resistant and low-formaldehyde or formaldehyde-free variants. They are also heat-insulating and vibration-free.

Areas of application

Interior fittings, in the sanitary area as support elements for tiles, furniture production, thermal insulation, loudspeaker construction, architectural model construction

  • High quality MDF board for use in dry conditions and especially for interior design and furniture production. Industrially coated on both sides with a white and even UV primer.

MDF board with primed surface. Fibrabel Prime has low formaldehyde emissions (E1 class). Fibrabel Prime also meets the requirements of the California Air Resource Board. According to ASTM E 1333–96, the formaldehyde emission is less than 0.11 ppm, which corresponds to CARB, phase 2 of the ACTM. This MDF board also meets the requirements of the EPA according to TSCA Title VI.

  • Moisture-resistant, structural MDF board, for industrial processing and interior construction, dyed black in the core, glossy transparent on both sides.

Highly compressed MDF board, black to the core, with a „high-gloss“ coating on both sides . The fine wood fibers remain visible on the surface of the panel, which highlights the natural origin of the product. Fibralux MR Black High Gloss can be used for load-bearing applications in damp conditions. This board has low formaldehyde emissions (E1 class) and also meets the requirements of the California Air Resource Board (CARB – Phase 2) and EPA (TSCA Title VI). Fibralux MR Black High Gloss consists of 100% recycled wood: 100% wood without consumer benefit from residual flows from the wood industry or thinning wood from sustainable forestry and grass verge management. Fibralux MR Black High Gloss is an original Spanolux product.

  • MDF board with a grey colored core and ’satin‘ coating on both sides, for a subtle silk gloss effect

Highly compressed MDF board with a transparent, glossy surface finish on both sides, which is colored black in the mass. Nevertheless, the fine wood fibers remain visible on the surface of the panel, which emphasizes the natural origin of the product. The finish consists of an inert, UV-hardened lacquer that does not contain any harmful substances. Each plate has a self-adhesive protective film on both sides. The plates have a particularly easy screwable core. With high humidity there is minimal stretching and swelling of the panel. Fibralux MR Black Satin has low formaldehyde emissions (E1 class, ChemVerbotsV compliant). In addition, Fibralux MR Black Satin meets the requirements of the California Air Resource Board. According to ASTM E 1333–96, the formaldehyde emission is less than 0.11 ppm, which corresponds to CARB, phase 2 of the ACTM. New look for Levi’s store

Exclusive outfit, perfectly combined with durability and optimized hygiene: Broszeit produces individual “furniture collections” for the new Stuttgart sales rooms of the cult jeans brand.

To the success story

Agency partner UNilin

Circular economy pioneer

UNILIN has been a pioneer in the circular economy since the 160s. The then Union des Lins used shives – a leftover product from the flax industry – as the basic raw material for plates. In order to keep up with the growth over the years, UNILIN kept looking for new, sustainable raw materials. Residual material from the wood industry soon became the new basic raw material.

INTELLIGENT COOPERATIONS

We only process wood from locations within 400 km of the production facilities. This local logging is possible thanks to intelligent cooperation with suppliers, including container parks, demolition companies, the packaging industry and even our own customers. What they consider waste, we use as raw materials. You can get rid of their residues that we use in our production process.

SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORT

Most of the recycled wood comes from Flanders. Thanks to this local access, we not only limit our transport, but also the environmental impact that is associated with it. In order to limit the traffic chaos on the Flemish roads, we import wood from abroad via inland waterways whenever possible. Our factory in Oostrozebeke has its own loading quay for this. Did you know that a cargo ship can take up to 60 trucks off the road?
