Circular economy pioneer
UNILIN has been a pioneer in the circular economy since the 160s. The then Union des Lins used shives – a leftover product from the flax industry – as the basic raw material for plates. In order to keep up with the growth over the years, UNILIN kept looking for new, sustainable raw materials. Residual material from the wood industry soon became the new basic raw material.
